Vale - Bob Kilby OAM - former VSDCUA President 1999-2004

We are saddened to announce the passing of Bob Kilby, a dedicated umpire and respected colleague of the VSDCUA and VSDCA. Our heartfelt condolences go out to Margot, his wife of 69 years, along with his family and friends.

Throughout his 22 years of service from 1983 to 2006, including his tenure as President from 1999 to 2004, Bob contributed significantly to the organisation. He was known for his enthusiasm and dedication and continued to follow the activities of the VSDCUA and its umpires well after his retirement from our ranks.

Bob earned life membership of the VSDCUA in 1994, the VSDCA 200 Club in 2004 and the VSDCA 200 Club in 2011

Bob was awarded an Order of Australia medal (OAM) for his tireless work with the Burwood East Special Development School, where he served as President.   He voluntarily served the school for over 40 years.   His citation read "for service to youth with a disability through education initiatives."

The family welcome you to join them in a service to remember Bob, which will be held on Tuesday, 12 May 2026, commencing 2:00pm at St Thomas Anglican Church, Warrandyte Road, Langwarrin.
